Volkswagen Ringwood
This exciting transformation was successfully completed in early 2013. Constructed by Buildcept, Volkswagen Ringwood is the first of a new style module concept showroom in Victoria and one of the largest showrooms in Australia.
Johnson Painting Group won the Painting contract to complete all External washing & painting works, Internal Painting works and the vinyl wrap to the blue “Welcome Wall”. The extensive workspace in the workshop has 12 hoists which are complemented by the darker painting to the datum wall. All of the workshop walls are finished in a fully washable product to ensure durability in years to come. The showroom at the front of the building is very open and light, due to full height windows and high ceilings. All the internal offices are finished in an acrylic low sheen product and the doors satin enamel for durability. The welcome wall was filled, undercoated and finished in “Volkswagen Blue” vinyl wrap. The external of the building was pressure washed and coated with an exterior low sheen acrylic which will protect the building for many years to come.
This project was impeccably managed by Project Manager George and Site Foreman Mick (Buildcept) creating a smooth construction programme. All contractors worked with each other to achieve a high level of finish and exceed all targets. Our team of painters executed the works brilliantly and was overseen by our Commercial Manager Matt Johnson. This was one of the most exciting projects we have been involved with to date.
On Friday 9th August 2013, Buildcept’s Volkswagen Ringwood Project won the “Excellence in Construction for a project under $3M” at the 2013 Master Builders Excellence in Construction Awards. Johnson Painting Group is proud to have been a part of this award winning project.
