Carrum Surf Life Saving Club
Completed in 2013 and officially opened to the public in October 2013, this new $1.6Million refurbished Carrum Life Saving Club has certainly revitalised the Carrum foreshore precinct.
The Club was closed for safety reasons after sustaining serious storm damage in January 2010.
But by teaming together, Kingston Council, Life Saving Victoria and the Club raised the funds required for the extensive re-design.
The project, which involved extensive public consultation, resulted in upgraded lighting, landscaping, boardwalks improving accessibility to areas including the beach, and a creatively designed playground. The State Government funded an erosion wall, which was a major component of the revamp.
Johnson Painting Group was engaged to paint the entire Interior and Exterior of the new facility.
